mada-tekito-! #author("2018-06-19T00:51:47+09:00","default:mss","mss") In 2007, 50th years after the celebrating the first paper of molecular dynamics simulation by Alder and Wainwright, which show the solid/liquid phase transition in the hard sphere system (so called Alder transition). To discuss the history and future of fundamental development of computational or non-equilibrium statistical mechanics especially by molecular simulation, we organized the symposium on "the 50th anniversary of the Alder transition" by inviting professors Alder and Kawasaki. We focus on the special topics on the works of professor Alder, that is hard sphere system molecular dynamics, Alder transition, the Long Time tail and a transportation coefficient. These topics are actively discussed in Japan. We also call for papers on the broad topics of computational statistical physics. We are looking forward to meeting you in Kanazawa.
