Scope †
The conference Unifying concepts in glass physics IV will be held in Kyoto during November 25-28, 2008. This conference is the fourth edition of a series, held previously in Trieste in 1999, Rome in 2002 and Bangalore in 2004. Continuing the spirit of the previous editions, the focus of the conference will be put on universal aspects in the behavior of glassy systems. Topics covered will include theoretical studies of glass transition, experimental and computational studies of dynamics in the super cooled liquid and glassy states as well as other glassy systems such as spin glasses, colloidal glasses, gels and proteins.
